For young adults 18 and older, LONA Care extends its support to facilitate their entry into the workforce and higher education, as well as promoting independence and self-sufficiency. Programs for this age group include:
Career Services: Resume building, interview preparation, job placement assistance, and networking events.
Higher Education Support: Guidance on college applications, financial aid, and access to scholarships and grants.
Independent Living Skills: Workshops on budgeting, cooking, and other essential life skills necessary for independent living.
We offer personalised support tailored to each young person’s needs, ranging from low to high-level assistance. Our services include key work support, mentoring, and coaching to facilitate the transition to independence. We provide one-on-one support and additional assistance as needed, aiming to gradually reduce support as the young person progresses towards independent living. Our comprehensive life skills assessments help set and achieve targets for independence.
We offer the following services:
24/7 hour living provisions for 16-17 years of age with additional floating support.
24/7 hour provision for 18+ with additional hours.
We also office 1:1 and 2:1 provision as required.
18+ provisions for Step Downs.
